A well-respected and inclusive secondary school in Reading is looking for a committed and experienced SENCO to join the leadership team from September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent position with additional TLR responsibility.

About the Role
The successful SENCO will:
• Lead on the provision for students with SEND across the school.
• Manage EHCP processes and ensure that all legal requirements are met.
• Work closely with teachers, TAs, parents, and external agencies to secure the best outcomes.
• Monitor the progress of SEND pupils and ensure appropriate interventions are in place.
• Provide staff with training and strategies to support inclusive teaching.
• Be an advocate for students with SEND within the school.
• Contribute to whole-school pastoral care and inclusion policy.
Experience and Qualifications
• Qualified teacher status (QTS).
• National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to complete).
• Proven experience supporting students with additional needs.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• A thorough understanding of current SEND legislation and best practice.
Salary
Salary is MPS/UPS + TLR, depending on experience.
