Prospero Teaching is pleased to support our client Infant School in Portsmouth in their search for a passionate and dedicated Infant School Teacher. About the Role:

As an Infant School Teacher, you will:

Deliver creative and stimulating lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.

Establish a nurturing and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes children's social, emotional, and academic growth.

Adapt teaching approaches to cater to individual learning needs, ensuring that every child is given the opportunity to succeed.

Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to aid their development.

Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support the best possible outcomes for students.

Encourage positive behaviour and a love for learning, fostering a sense of curiosity and confidence in young learners.

Position Details:

Location: Portsmouth

Role: Infant School Teacher

Start Date: September 2025

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Full-time (08:00 AM - 16:00 PM, subject to variation)

Salary: Starting from £162.31 per day

Qualifications & Requirements:

Essential:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Desirable:

Previous experience in a similar role

Commitment to ongoing professional development

A relevant degree or higher qualification

Eligibility Criteria:

Right to work in the UK

Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate (registered with the online update service or willingness to apply)

References available upon request

Up-to-date Safeguarding Training (or willingness to complete training)
