Job Title: M&E Quantity Surveyor

Location: Windlesham

Contract Type: 2-Year Contract

Day Rate: £400 per day (Negotiable)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial and pharmaceutical refurbishment projects across Windlesham. The client’s head office is based in Croydon, so both locations should be easily commutable.

My client is one of London’s leading M&E engineering companies, with a strong track record delivering high-quality building services across commercial and specialist environments. You will be responsible for managing all financial and contractual aspects of the M&E packages, ensuring projects are delivered to budget and in line with commercial expectations.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage the full commercial lifecycle of M&E refurbishment projects.

* Prepare, review, and negotiate subcontractor packages, variations, and valuations.

* Produce accurate cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and financial summaries.

* Monitor project budgets, identifying risks, opportunities, and cost-saving measures.

* Work closely with Project Managers and Engineers to ensure cost efficiency and commercial control.

* Support the preparation and submission of final accounts.

* Ensure compliance with company procedures, contracts, and client requirements.

* Attend progress and commercial meetings with clients and internal teams.

Requirements

* Proven experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor within commercial or pharmaceutical refurbishment projects.

* Strong technical understanding of mechanical and electrical building services.

* Confident in cost planning, subcontract management, and financial reporting.

* Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.

* Solid knowledge of standard forms of contract (JCT, NEC).

* Proficient in MS Excel and commercial reporting tools.

* Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or Building Services (HNC/HND/Degree).

* CSCS card and a full UK driving licence desirable
