Axon Moore are delighted to be working with a growing, market leading business based in Salford, to appoint a Commercial Analyst to their team. The business, who’ve gone from strength to strength in the last 10 years, investing into their marketing and tech across their 3 business platforms.
You will join a team of 3 Analysts, reporting into the Commercial Manager, delivering accurate and timely business performance reporting. This role is crucial to the business, enabling the SLT to make sound business decisions. You will be involved in many business areas building relationships, so a confident and personable person is required for this role.
Salary and Benefits:
£30-35k DOE plus study support. Hybrid working 3 days in the office/2 from home, Life insurance x4 of your salary, 25 days holiday plus banks and can buy up to 5 more, salary sacrifice pension, cash health plan, Cycle2Work and tech schemes.
Role Responsibilities:
Conducting in-depth analysis and providing insights to business trends to enable decision making and growth.
Monitoring daily and weekly trading performance data, providing feedback to identify opportunities and risks.
Regularly review commercial and operational data to ensure accuracy and consistency across reporting channels.
Develop strong relationships across various departments at varying levels, to improve performance across the business.
Review revenue and costs to identify opportunity to maximise margins.
Review and model the impact of pricing strategies to assess outcomes and viability.
Support the Finance team with invoice work-flows, general ledger accounting and insights.
Other ad-hoc/project work as requested.
Person Specification:
Degree background in a Maths based subject is preferred, but not essential
Experienced in a similar Analyst position within a fast-paced environment
Experienced with MS Excel to an intermediate level, covering formulas and reporting
Experience with Power BI.
Experience with Power Query would be beneficial
Highly numerate/analytical mind-set with excellent organisation & attention to detail
Ambitious and self-motivated
Strong organisation skills to be able to manage your workload effectively.
Strong communication and presentation skills both written and verbal, confident in sharing ideas and best practice with colleagues from all departments
