A leading independent environmental consultancy is looking to expand its specialist acoustics team with the appointment of an experienced Acoustic Consultant. The Role
As an Acoustic Consultant, you will be a key member of the environmental noise team, taking ownership of projects from inception through to delivery. Responsibilities will include:
Conducting environmental noise and vibration assessments
Noise modelling using industry-standard software (e.g., CadnaA, SoundPLAN)
Baseline monitoring, including site visits and data analysis
Preparing high-quality technical reports and documentation for planning applications
Liaising with clients, regulatory bodies, and multi-disciplinary project teams
Supporting junior team members and contributing to project delivery strategy
Candidate Requirements
We’re seeking a technically capable and commercially aware consultant with the following background:
Degree in Acoustics or a relevant discipline (e.g., Physics, Environmental Science with acoustics content)
Experience in Acoustic Consultancy
Proficient in noise modelling software and reporting standards
Strong understanding of relevant British Standards and planning guidance
Full UK driving licence
IOA membership (Associate or Full)
