Overview

We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read and interpret schematics. As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining piping systems in various settings. This role requires proficiency in using both hand and power tools, as well as knowledge of welding techniques.

Duties

* Assemble and install piping systems according to specifications and schematics.

* Maintain existing piping systems, ensuring they are functioning efficiently and safely.

* Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks.

* Perform welding tasks, including stick welding, as required for pipe assembly.

* Troubleshoot issues with piping systems and implement necessary repairs.

* Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure project completion within deadlines.

* Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working on-site.

Experience

* Proven experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar role is preferred.

* Strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with various materials.

* Familiarity with plumbing techniques and the ability to plumb effectively is advantageous.

* Experience in reading blueprints and schematics is essential.

* Competence in using both hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.

* Previous experience with welding techniques, particularly stick welding, is desirable.
