Small Works Estimator – Plumbing or Carpentry Background
Location: Buckinghamshire & Surrey (travel required)
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum + Van Provided

A well-established building services provider is currently seeking a Small Works Estimator with a strong trade background in plumbing or carpentry to join their growing team. This is a dual role, combining estimating responsibilities with hands-on project delivery across MOD properties and commercial sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Attend client sites across Buckinghamshire and Surrey to survey, scope, and quote small works projects.
Carry out works directly when required – including tasks such as fire door installation, kitchen fitting, and other general carpentry or plumbing jobs.
Provide accurate cost estimates and liaise with project and operations teams to ensure seamless delivery.
Maintain high standards of workmanship and professionalism, particularly in secure or sensitive environments.
Essential Skills & Experience:

NVQ Level 2 or above in Plumbing or Carpentry (additional qualifications a bonus).
Strong background working “on the tools” in commercial or MOD settings.
Experience with small works such as fire doors, kitchen fitting, and general repairs.
A sound understanding of building services and commercial property maintenance.
Comfortable quoting for work and liaising with clients on-site.
Own tools required – company vehicle provided.
Clearance Requirements:

Must have lived and worked in the UK for at least 5 years.
Must be eligible for high-level security clearance (MOD environments).
No serious criminal convictions (minor spent convictions may be considered on a case-by-case basis).
Valid UK driving licence – minor points acceptable, but no disqualifications or drink-driving convictions.
