Position: KS2 General Teaching Assistant

Contract: Full‑time / Term‑time

Veritas Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS2 General Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Preston area.

About the Role

The successful candidate will:

Support teaching and learning across KS2 classes
Work closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored support
Assist with small‑group interventions and one‑to‑one support
Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Contribute to the academic, social, and emotional development of pupils

About You

We are looking for someone who:

Has experience working with children in a school setting (KS2 preferred)
Is patient, proactive, and committed to supporting pupil progress
Has strong communication skills and can work well as part of a team
Holds relevant childcare/teaching assistant qualifications (desirable but not essential)
Has a current DBS on the update service, or is willing to apply for one
