Financial Controller

Location: Bristol

Pay: £258.83 and upwards, per day

Type: 1-year fixed-term contract

Hours: Full Time, all year round

Elementa Support Services is delighted to present an exciting opportunity for a Financial Controller within a reputable education company located in Kingswood, South Gloucestershire. This role offers a unique chance to contribute to a vibrant multi-academy trust within the dedicated central team.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and control financial budgets, forecasts, and reports.

Ensure financial policies and procedures are implemented effectively.

Work closely with the school's leadership team to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making.

Monitor cash flow and prepare financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.

Provide guidance and support to finance staff, ensuring best practices are followed.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

Experience as a School Business Manager or in a similar financial role within an educational context.

Fully qualified accountant with 5+ years’ experience.

Excellent financial management and reporting skills, with a keen eye for detail.

Strong leadership and communication abilities, enabling effective collaboration with a diverse team.

Knowledge of academy funding, regulations, and financial compliance.

Experience in financial analysis and ability to interrogate data.

The ability to challenge and hold people to account, influence others and prioritise effectively.

Confidence in presenting financial data to a wide range of audiences.

Contract & recruitment information
