Assistant Estimator High-End Residential | Nr Hook | Permanent

The Role:
Looking to step up in estimating without being thrown in the deep end? This is a great role for someone with a bit of experience who wants to build a career in high-end residential construction. You'll support the pre-con team with tenders on private refurbishments and new builds anything from listed manors to new homes with enough marble to build a Roman temple.

As an assistant Estimator you'll be working across take-offs, cost plans, subcontractor pricing, and all the usual bits that make tenders tick. There's a solid structure in place and a team who actually knows what they're doing (and doesn't expect miracles overnight).

The Projects:
Mostly private homes proper high-end stuff. Think heritage refurbishments, listed buildings, conservation areas, and a few modern builds thrown in to keep you on your toes. No slap-dash site boxes or value engineering every last screw just detailed, well-built homes with a real emphasis on quality.

What They're Looking For:
• Experience pricing or assisting on tenders residential experience is a bonus
• Decent with Excel and generally comfortable with software (Esti-Mate / ConQuest is a plus)
• HNC or Degree in Construction but experience speaks just as loud
• Experience with SMM7 or NRM2 (or at least know they're not Star Wars droids)
• Live within about an hour of Basingstoke this is mostly office-based

They're a well-established, family-feel contractor who've been delivering high-end residential projects for decades. Very detail-focused, low on egos, and big on doing things properly.
