The Opportunity

A growing multi-disciplinary practice is seeking a Lead Building Regulations Consultant to take ownership of building regulations, compliance and safety across a wide range of projects. These include high-rise residential buildings, commercial developments and large-scale schemes throughout Newcastle and the surrounding region.

This is a remote role with occasional travel to meetings or sites within the local area.

What You Will Be Doing

Leading building regulations strategy and compliance across complex projects

Providing expert guidance on the Building Safety Act 2022 and Gateway requirements

Working closely with design teams to maintain compliance without compromising design quality

Advising on constructability, technical design and regulatory considerations

Taking a leading role on high-rise building projects (HRBs)

If you have limited exposure to the Gateway process, the consultancy has a structured training pathway ready to support you.

About You

Ideally a RIBA Part 3 Architect

Strong working knowledge of construction, building regulations and the Building Safety Act 2022

Experience working on HRBs or other complex schemes is beneficial

An eye for design and the ability to work closely with architects and technical teams

Understanding of the Gateway process is desirable but not essential
