The Role

As a key member of the engineering team, you’ll play a vital role in keeping production running smoothly. You’ll be responsible for ensuring all mechanical equipment and systems are maintained, repaired, and optimised to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

* Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of production and packaging machinery.

* Diagnosing mechanical faults and implementing effective solutions.

* Supporting continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.

* Working closely with production and technical teams to ensure safety and performance standards are met.

* Contributing to ongoing engineering projects and upgrades across the site.

About You

* Time-served engineer with a mechanical bias (apprenticeship or equivalent).

* Experience in a food, FMCG, or manufacturing environment.

* Confident diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues (gearboxes, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, etc.).

* Strong awareness of health & safety and GMP standards.

* Positive attitude, problem-solving mindset, and good communication skills.
