Hygiene Technician
Maidstone, Kent
£14.00 per hour (weekly pay)
Monday-Friday | 3/4pm - 12:30am (8-9 hour shifts)

Premier Recruitment Group is delighted to be partnering with a well-established and rapidly growing Fresh Produce company based in Maidstone, to recruit a dedicated and proactive Hygiene Technician to join their evening team.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced food production environment and takes pride in maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Machinery Cleaning & Maintenance
Dismantle, deep-clean, and reassemble production machinery to meet food safety regulations
Use cleaning agents safely and in line with COSHH standards
Conduct basic maintenance tasks, including lubrication and minor repairs
Factory Hygiene & Compliance

Carry out deep cleaning across floors, drains, surfaces, and production areas
Maintain accurate hygiene records and report faults or risks
Ensure strict adherence to hygiene and food safety protocols
Health & Safety

Always wear PPE and follow Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) procedures
Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work environment
Requirements:

Previous experience in hygiene or cleaning within food production/manufacturing
Comfortable dismantling and reassembling machinery
Knowledge of HACCP, COSHH, and food safety standards
Strong team player with excellent attention to detail
Physically fit and able to work night shifts
Desirable (Not Essential):

Experience in the fresh produce or fruit industry
Basic mechanical or engineering skills
Level 2 Food Safety or Hygiene Certification
