Accounts Payable Manager 
Whiteley (Hybrid)
£52,000 + benefits

A growing organisation is seeking an experienced and proactive Finance Manager to lead its Purchase Ledger function. This role will oversee all aspects of Accounts Payable, ensuring accuracy, strong controls, and continuous improvement across the AP process.

You’ll manage and develop a small team, strengthen supplier relationships, support month‑end, and play a key role in finance transformation projects — including system enhancements and integration work.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead, mentor, and develop the AP team
• Oversee accurate invoice processing, VAT treatment, and ledger coding
• Maintain strong internal controls and compliance standards
• Manage supplier relationships and resolve escalated queries
• Review and approve payment runs
• Monitor aged creditors and support cashflow management
• Own AP month‑end close and provide reporting to senior finance stakeholders
• Drive process improvements and support system migrations

About You:
• Proven experience in senior AP/Purchase Ledger management
• Strong understanding of AP controls, VAT, and reconciliations
• Confident team leader with excellent organisational skills
• Proficient in Excel and comfortable working at pace
• Experience in financial services or Business Central is beneficial but not essential

Working Pattern:
Hybrid role based in Whiteley (2–3 days in the office).
