MTrec Technical are proudly representing our prestigious engineering client in their 2026 recruitment initiative with the recruitment of a permanent Electrical Design Engineer to join their team. The job you’ll do:

* Producing schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, general arrangements, cable block diagrams, cable schedules etc.

* Attend customer reviews to satisfy customer requirements for design.

* Prepare Bill of Materials, Design Intent Document, cable sizing calcs

* Provide Technical support for site.

* Ensure compliance with customer technical specifications and Design Intent Documents.

* Compliance with the department processes and procedures.

* Abide by all Business Compliance requirements in line with Company policies

* Actively support the continuous improvement of Engineering systems and processes.

* Mentoring of Design Engineering staff.

* Assist with in-house training initiatives.

About you:

* HNC or equivalent experience in electrical engineering

* Positive attitude, good communication skills and a willingness to learn.

* Be able to work to deadlines and as part of a team.

* Willing to travel to site throughout the UK.

* Willing to work to develop knowledge and understanding of other job functions.

* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Good communication skills at all levels
