Location: Grantham (NG31)
Pay: £110 - £120 per day (£22,650 - £24,952 per annum)
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, term-time only
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long-term to permanent

Long Term Futures is seeking a passionate Behaviour and Relationships Mentor to join a specialist SEMH school in Grantham, Nottingham. This setting supports learners aged 5 to 16 who have social, emotional and mental health needs and may have struggled in mainstream education. The school's structured, tailored approach blends academic learning with strong pastoral support, helping pupils rebuild confidence and engagement.

This role is ideal for sports coaches or people with a sporting background who understand the power of teamwork, discipline, and encouragement - and want to transfer those skills into an educational setting.

What You'll Be Doing

Using coaching-style approaches to support pupils 1:1 and in small groups

Helping young people manage emotions and behaviour through consistency and trust

Building strong, positive relationships that inspire growth and resilience

Encouraging independence, teamwork, and problem-solving skills

Working closely with teachers, therapists, and leaders to support pupil success

Monitoring progress and adapting your approach to meet individual needs

What We're Looking For

Experience working with children/young people (sports coaching, mentoring, or education)

Ability to remain calm, patient, and positive when managing challenging behaviour

A natural motivator who can inspire pupils to keep going when things feel tough

Knowledge of behaviour frameworks (e.g. Team Teach) is helpful, but not essential

TA qualification (Level 2+) is desirable but not required - transferable skills are highly valued
