We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Year 6 Teacher to join our thriving school in Hammersmith, starting in September 2025. This full-time, permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a Year 6 class through their final year of primary school, preparing them for their transition to secondary school. Additionally, there is potential for the right candidate to take on a Key Stage 2 Lead role, contributing to the strategic development of teaching and learning across KS2.
About the Role:
As a Year 6 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering the Year 6 curriculum, preparing students for their SATs, and helping them achieve their full potential. You will foster a positive and motivating classroom environment, guiding students through this crucial stage of their educational journey. The role also offers the potential for additional responsibilities as a Key Stage 2 Lead, allowing you to take a leadership role in shaping the KS2 curriculum and supporting your colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality lessons across the Year 6 curriculum, ensuring students are well-prepared for their SATs.

Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
*
Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment where all students can thrive.
*
Collaborate with other KS2 teachers and staff to ensure consistency and continuity across the curriculum.
*
Lead by example, setting high standards for teaching, learning, and behaviour.
*
Develop and implement strategies to raise standards and improve outcomes for Year 6 students.
*
If taking on the KS2 Lead role, contribute to the development of the curriculum, lead professional development opportunities, and support colleagues across Key Stage 2.
The Ideal Candidate:
*
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
*
Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, preferably with Year 6.
*
Knowledge of the Year 6 curriculum and experience with SATs preparation.
*
A passion for teaching and a commitment to helping students achieve their full potential.
*
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
*
Experience in a leadership role (desired, but not essential for KS2 Lead potential).
*
A creative and positive approach to teaching and learning.
