Job Title: Level 3 SEN Teacher (SLD)

Location: Stourbridge

Pay Rate: £85–£100 per day

Contract Type: Long-Term

Are you a passionate and experienced SEN professional looking for a long-term role in a supportive and specialist environment?

We are currently seeking a Level 3 SEN Teacher to join a dedicated team at a residential special school catering for pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD).

Key Details:

* Daily rate: £85–£100 (depending on experience and qualifications)

* Contract: Long-term with potential for ongoing opportunities

* Location: Residential school setting – some overnight stays and weekend work may be required

Requirements:

* Minimum QCF Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent relevant qualification)

* At least 5 years’ experience working in the education sector

* Experience supporting pupils with SLD, including delivering personal care

* A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to teaching and care

* Flexibility to work occasional overnight shifts and weekends as part of a rota

Role Responsibilities:

* Deliver high-quality, tailored teaching and support to pupils with complex needs

* Support the development of pupils’ life skills and independence

* Provide personal care in line with individual care plans

* Work closely with residential care staff, therapists, and other professionals

* Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

* Monitor and report on pupil progress

Desirable:

* Experience working in a residential school setting

* Training in specialist communication methods (e.g., Makaton, PECS)

* Team Teach or similar behaviour management training
