JOB TITLE: HR Business Partner
EMPLOYING ENTITY: Dutypoint Limited

REPORTS TO: HR Director
PURPOSE OF ROLE:
Supporting and enabling the business, line management and employees on all aspects of HR. The role will be based at Gloucester although a key element will be to attend other sites across the Group to provide support on a weekly basis.
JOB DEFINITION:
Assist Line Managers to develop teams of skilled and highly performing colleagues who are engaged in their particular area and in the business as a whole. The Business Partner will provide best practice and leadership in a range of areas across the employee lifecycle from engagement, early careers and organisation design to reward and inclusion, working alongside the leadership team to enact the people plan.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Provide the necessary tools and coaching to managers in support of performance management and the development of high performing teams
* Provide guidance on development for managers and their teams, including working with external suppliers of learning and development
* Facilitate talent and succession planning, utilising strategic workforce planning
* Provide advice and support to Line Managers and employees on company benefits and remuneration matters
* Proactively identify best practice to develop People initiatives and lead project delivery
* Provide training, support and coaching on processes and procedures, ensuring managers are updated on changes, to creating new processes to drive efficiency, company performance and maintain compliance with key legislation
* Producing weekly and monthly business reports, and providing insight into key trends
* Mentoring colleagues and encouraging best practice
* Preparation of change of conditions documentation and the administration of all changes to pay
* Responsible for the leaver process including processing leavers correspondence, completing the leaver information for payroll processing, calculating outstanding annual leave, co-ordinating exit interviews and monitoring and recording information contained within it and updating structure charts
* Maintaining employee details and ensuring records are up-to-date at all times in line with business and legislative requirements including records related to probation, grievances, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions
* Maintain job descriptions with the support of department managers and update structure charts to reflect people movement
* Support managers with recruitment, managing recruitment agency relationships and other HR supplier contracts and relationships
* Preparing contract of employment documentation and setting up new employee files
* Conducting relevant checks including Right to Work, References and Qualifications
* Communicate details of new employees to appropriate colleagues to ensure facilities and equipment are readily available upon commencement of employment
* Ensure new employees have an onboarding/induction plan and receive relevant information on their first day of employment
* Explain and enrol new starters into the company benefit
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
CIPD qualified. A HRM degree would be desirable. Coaching certificate or experience is desirable. ER knowledge and experience is essential. Generalist employee lifecycle experience is essential.
