We are currently recruiting HGV Class 2 Refuse Drivers to join our client's Environmental Service team in Brighton. This role involves driving refuse collection vehicles to ensure waste and recycling are collected safely, efficiently, and in line with service standards.

You’ll be working as part of a friendly, hard-working crew who take pride in keeping the community clean and environmentally safe.

Key Responsibilities:

* Drive and operate a Class 2 refuse vehicle safely and efficiently

* Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects immediately

* Work collaboratively with loaders and collection staff

* Follow designated collection routes and schedules

* Ensure all waste is collected in accordance with local authority procedures

* Maintain a professional attitude when dealing with members of the public and team members

Candidate Requirements:

Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
No more than 3 penalty points (no DD/DR/IN offences)
Experience in refuse or recycling driving preferred but not essential
Good communication and teamwork skills
Reliable, safety-conscious, and customer-focused attitude

Pay Rates:

* Weekday from 6am - 8pm: £17.47; Weekday night from 8pm to 6am: £23.29

* Weekends from 6am to 8pm: £26.21; Weekends night from 8pm to 6am: £32.03
