Your responsibilities will include:
Providing individualised support tailored to the child's needs
Managing and de‑escalating challenging behaviour using proactive strategies
Supporting the child's learning across curriculum subjects
Helping the pupil develop emotional regulation and social skills
Working collaboratively with the class teacher, SENDCo, and external professionals
Maintaining clear communication with the school team regarding progress, challenges, and strategies
Contributing to a positive, nurturing learning environment
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will be:
Experienced in working with children with complex SEND or behavioural needs
Confident and skilled in behaviour management
Calm, patient, and resilient
Able to build trusting relationships through consistency and positive reinforcement
Adaptable and solution-focused
A team player who can follow guidance whilst using initiativeTeaching Assistant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3) are desirable, but strong relevant experience will also be considered.
