Introduction

Our client, a leading civil engineering company in the Highways sector, is currently seeking a Section Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. As a Section Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities

Take responsibility for the planning and coordination of your assigned section of the project.
Ensure that the work is carried out in accordance with the design and specifications.
Monitor the progress and quality of work, making sure it meets the required standards.
Manage the workforce and subcontractors on site, ensuring their adherence to health and safety guidelines.
Prepare and maintain accurate records, including daily logs, progress reports, and site diaries.

Job Requirements

Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Significant experience in civil engineering projects.
Strong understanding of construction methods and techniques.
Proficient in the use of industry-standard software and tools.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
