Senior Support Worker needed for Brand New Family Assessment Home in Peterborough.
We are more than just a residential family assessment centre—we’re a place of hope, support, and positive change.
We offer families a safe, nurturing environment when they’re going through some of life’s toughest challenges. Over a 12 week stay, parents and children live with us while we provide guidance, care, and assessment. Within this time, families take part in a 12-week programme that’s designed not only to assess but also to empower parents to safely care for their children.
As a Senior Family Support Worker, you’ll be at the heart of everything we do. Working alongside a passionate team, you’ll help create a welcoming home where families feel safe, valued, and supported. Every day, you’ll play a vital role in strengthening relationships, encouraging positive change, and building the foundations for brighter futures.
Working Hours
* 39 hours per week
* Plus 4-8 sleeps per month
* Working flexibly on a rota, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in/night shifts
What You’ll Be Doing
* Offering patient, empathetic support to parents and young people living in our centre
* Helping young people transition back into their family homes
* Building trusting relationships that encourage personal growth and stronger family bonds
* Supporting families in their daily routines while creating a safe, nurturing environment

What We’re Looking For
* At least 12 months’ experience in children’s residential care
* Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People (essential)
* A compassionate, resilient, and patient approach to supporting families through change
* Strong communication skills and a team spirit
* Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of the families and the home
* A full UK driving licence (essential)
