Communication Support Worker

Salary: £17,400.00- £17,40.00 (Pro Rata)- FTE £25,000.00

Employment Type: 30 hours pw, term time only (36 weeks per year)

Are you an experienced Communication Support Worker, or fluent in British Sign Language and passionate about supporting learners?

A renowned educational establishment is currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join their team as a Communication Support Worker, providing signed academic and social support to deaf learners, both in and out of the classroom, promoting independence and an inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

Working as part of the learning support team, providing constructive and structured supported to deaf and hard of hearing learners.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to facilitate their academic development.
Contribute towards EHCP's where possible, suggesting adjustments where neccesary.
Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve the curriculum, incorporating the latest industry trends and advancements.

Requirements:

A level 3 qualification in BSL, or fluent in sign language.
Experience supporting Deaf or SEND learners.
Compassionate, adaptable, and committed to inclusive education.
