Graduate Teaching Assistant – Secondary School | Bromley
Salary: £21,000 – £29,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Term-Time Only (Fixed-Term – 1 academic year, with potential for extension or teacher training pathway)

About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a high-performing and inclusive secondary school in Bromley. This role is ideal for recent graduates who are considering a future in teaching or education and are eager to gain practical classroom experience.
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support students across a range of subjects and year groups. You will play a key role in helping pupils reach their full potential, particularly those who need additional support.
Key Responsibilities:

Support teaching and learning in the classroom, working with individuals and small groups

Assist students with varying needs, including those with SEND or who are underachieving
*
Provide academic and pastoral support under the guidance of teaching staff
*
Contribute to lesson preparation and classroom organisation
*
Supervise students during non-lesson times, including breaks and lunchtimes
*
Be a positive role model and uphold the school’s high expectations
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

A recent university degree (any discipline, though core subjects such as English, maths, science, or psychology are particularly valued)
*
A genuine interest in education and supporting young people
*
Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills
*
A positive attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team
*
A desire to pursue a career in teaching or education
*
Experience working with young people (desirable, but not essential)
