Job Title: Engine Stripper
Location: Barton Under Needwood
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Friday, 7:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Engine Stripper to join our Engine Strip & Transmission team at our Barton Under Needwood facility. This hands-on role involves the dismantling and reassembly of engines in line with manufacturer specifications and warranty requirements. The ideal candidate will have a solid mechanical background and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
Strip all mechanical components from engines as per work instructions.

Organise and distribute new parts to relevant engines and machinery.

Perform final engine jet washing before dispatch.

Support company targets by completing tasks to a high standard and within set timeframes.

Follow 5S housekeeping and continuous improvement practices.

Dispose of waste safely and in line with site procedures.

Report near misses, issues, and hazards promptly.

Mentor apprentices or trainees when required.

Comply with company Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental, and HR policies.

Take on additional duties aligned to your skillset as directed by management.

Requirements
NVQ Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Repairs or equivalent qualification (preffered not required)

Previous experience in the rail, automotive, or heavy plant industry.

Strong mechanical skills and practical experience with engine components.

Physically fit and capable of manual work in a busy workshop.

Team player with a positive, proactive attitude.

Flexible and willing to work to changing deadlines or priorities.

Eagerness to learn and contribute to continuous improvement.
