We are currently recruiting for a Tool Maker to join a leading manufacturing business based in Corby. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a specialised team, where you'll play a key role in preparing, maintaining, and managing all tooling for a busy metal forming department.

Location: Corby
Shift: Monday - Friday (AM or PM Shift)
Salary: £40 - £50k (Depending on Shift)

Duties:

Prepare complete tooling kits for metal forming equipment (coiled, slotted, and solid pins)
Order tools as required, obtaining quotes and approvals
Inspect and accept/reject tools based on specifications and drawings
Track, store, and maintain all tools and related documentation
Submit gauges for calibration and maintain calibration records
Monitor tool availability to ensure timely set-ups for all scheduled jobs
Liaise with external vendors to ensure timely delivery of tooling
Maintain tool drawing binders and ensure accessibility to shop personnel
Promote good housekeeping and safe working practices at all times
Contribute to waste reduction and energy-saving initiativesThe ideal candidate must:

Be a qualified or time-served Tool Maker
Have experience with tooling for metal forming equipment
Be able to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
Have strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Be proficient with basic maths and tooling tracking systems
Be physically fit and capable of repetitive lifting (up to 50 lbs)
