Overview
We are seeking a skilled Sliding Head & Fixed Head CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of computer numerical control (CNC) machinery and programming, with the ability to create precise and efficient programmes for various manufacturing processes. This role is crucial in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our products while optimising production efficiency.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement Sliding Head & Fixed Head CNC programmes for machining operations, ensuring adherence to specifications and tolerances. Ability to Programme Online on machine is essential. Offline CAD software is available.
Operate multiple Sliding Head & Fixed Head CNC machines, including setting up tools and fixtures, to produce components as per engineering drawings.
Conduct regular inspections of machined parts to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Collaborate with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot issues related to programming or machine operation.
Maintain accurate documentation of programmes, tooling, and production records.
Assist in the assembly and fabrication of components as required, utilising hand tools and other equipment.
Ensure proper handling of materials within the warehouse environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Support the maintenance of Sliding Head & Fixed Head CNC machines, including cleaning and lubricating equipment as needed.Skills

Strong knowledge with experience in operating Sliding Head & Fixed Head CNC machinery and understanding logic controllers.
Reliable to work well and efficiently within a small team.
Familiarity with materials handling processes within a warehouse setting.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting machine-related issues.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £16.00-£22.00 per hour (dependant on experience)

Expected hours: 39 – 46 per week (Happy to discuss shift pattern as a crossover shift might work better, maybe 12pm – 10pm
