Design and Technology Teacher

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and innovative Design and Technology Teacher to join a thriving secondary school located close to Basingstoke town centre. The school is a welcoming 11–16 comprehensive with excellent facilities, including modern DT workshops, a dedicated food room, and vibrant creative spaces.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging DT lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the opportunity to contribute to the development of a forward-thinking, practical curriculum that inspires creativity and technical skills.
Key Responsibilities:

Teach Design and Technology to students in KS3 and KS4
*
Deliver lessons across a range of material areas (e.g. Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics or Food)
*
Contribute to curriculum planning, assessment, and department enrichment activities
*
Support student progress and foster a positive, inclusive learning environment
What We’re Looking For:

A qualified teacher with a DT specialism (QTS/QTLS)
*
Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for creative, hands-on learning
*
Experience teaching GCSE DT (any area of specialism considered)
*
A team player who is committed to professional development and high expectations
*
Suitable for both experienced teachers and ECTs
