Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum (DOE)

About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated individual to join a well-established organisation as a Supply Chain Manager. This position is ideal for a proactive and personable supply chain professional ready to take the next step in their career.

You will be responsible for managing a small team of three purchasing and supply chain professionals, overseeing day-to-day procurement activities, building supplier relationships, and ensuring operational resilience across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead, coach, and support a team of buyers and order chasers

* Develop supplier contingency plans to mitigate risk and improve supply chain reliability

* Conduct supplier audits and performance reviews

* Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with suppliers

* Improve procurement processes and identify cost-saving opportunities

* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure inventory and lead time targets are met

* Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with quality and procurement standards

Ideal Candidate Profile:

* Previous experience in a procurement, purchasing, or supply chain role (minimum 5 years)

* Strong negotiation, supplier management, and auditing skills

* Forward-thinking and commercially aware

* Capable of motivating a small team while still hands-on in daily activities

* Strong communicator with excellent attention to detail

* Confident using commercial systems and comfortable with data analysis

* Holds a full UK driving licence

Desirable:

* Working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement tools

* CIPS qualification (full or part-qualified)
