Crime Paralegal — Position Overview

As a Crime Paralegal, you will assist solicitors with a full range of criminal defence work, including case preparation, client liaison, and attending court when required. This is an ideal role for someone with a genuine interest in criminal law and a desire to progress.

Key Responsibilities of the Crime Paralegal

Assist fee earners with criminal case preparation.

Liaise with clients, police stations, and courts.

Draft legal documents and statements.

Prepare trial bundles and manage case files.

Attend court hearings and police station interviews where needed.

Requirements of the Crime Paralegal

Previous paralegal or legal assistant experience (criminal law preferred).

Strong organisational and communication skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced legal environment.

Genuine interest in criminal law and career progression.

LPC / law degree or equivalent legal qualification (desirable).
