Head of Business Development
Location: Coventry
Hours: 37 per week
Salary: £46,000 per annum (+ potential commission)

A leading leisure and cultural organisation in Coventry is seeking a Head of Business Development to drive its new Commercial Strategy. The organisation offers a diverse portfolio, including museums, leisure centres, destination venues, community programmes, and cultural events. This role presents an exciting opportunity to grow revenue, expand partnerships, and shape the organisation's commercial future.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement the organisation's Commercial Strategy.

Drive sales across Hospitality & Events, Food & Beverage, Retail, and Paid Admissions.

Build and manage corporate partnerships, identifying new revenue opportunities.

Oversee contracts, pricing, and profit margins.

Lead and develop a high-performing commercial team.

Collaborate with internal teams to align commercial goals with organisational objectives.

Deliver customer-focused initiatives to improve retention and satisfaction.

Person Specification:

Proven experience in business development, sales, or commercial leadership.

Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Experience managing budgets, teams, and multiple revenue streams.

Knowledge of Health & Safety, Food Hygiene, and franchise/property agreements.

Flexible approach, willing to work evenings, weekends, and across multiple sites.

Enthusiastic, customer-focused, and able to motivate others.
