We have an exciting opportunity for a Paramedic to join our Unscheduled care team at HMP Garth  
HMP Garth has a capacity of around 800 males and is a category B Prison located in Lancashire.
The Paramedic will be based within the Healthcare department however you will also be required to work on the prison wings, you will be responsible for the emergency radio and required to do consultations. 
 
You will mainly be based in the Healthcare Department however wing work will also be required as and when.

Monday - Friday Sunday service - 37.5 hours per week  
Two week shift pattern 
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday 7:30am - 7.45pm
Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 7:30am - 7.45pmSalary
This position is permanent and you will receive an annual salary up to £42,094 - £47,466 per annum depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As a Paramedic, your responsibilities will vary. You will
Provide outstanding evidence based case to our patients seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them - focussing on emergency and unplanned care to patients with both primary care and acute care needs.
Deliver non-judgemental care, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries.
Playing an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient’s care following our policies, procedures and always considering safeguarding. If you are interested in career development, we have a wide range of opportunities for you to develop your skills and experience, which include both internal and external options for development and learning.

Qualified Paramedic
Current professional registration (HCPC)
Proven post-registration ambulance experience
Evidence of continued professional development
A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
Proven experience in either: Accident & Emergency, Primary Care environments or Minor injuries / illnessAlthough not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
