Description
Provide high-quality secretarial and administrative support to solicitors and legal professionals.
Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and court forms in accordance with Scottish legal procedures.
Manage diary appointments, court dates, and meetings.
Liaise with clients, courts, other law firms, and third parties professionally and efficiently.
Organize and maintain legal files and case management systems.
Assist in the preparation of court bundles and trial documents.
Handle incoming and outgoing mail and emails promptly.
Use legal software and databases to manage case information.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection regulations.
Perform general office duties such as filing, photocopying, and answering phones.
Profile
Previous experience as a Legal Secretary or in a similar role, preferably within a Scottish law firm.
Good understanding of Scottish legal procedures and terminology.
Excellent typing skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Professional attitude and discretion in handling sensitive information.
Relevant legal secretarial qualifications or training is desirable.
