Senior Manufacturing Engineer – Electromechanical Manufacturing

Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum

About the Role We are working with a leading electromechanical manufacturing company based in Bristol to recruit a Senior Manufacturing Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to join a forward-thinking organisation at a time of continued growth and investment.

As Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in driving continuous improvement across production processes, supporting new product introductions, and ensuring that manufacturing systems deliver high quality, efficient, and cost-effective output.

Key Responsibilities
Lead process improvement initiatives across assembly, test, and manufacturing areas.

Support the introduction of new products and technologies into production.

Develop, validate, and optimise manufacturing methods, tooling, and equipment.

Work closely with design, quality, and operations teams to resolve technical issues.

Create and maintain process documentation including work instructions and standard operating procedures.

Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing issues.

Identify and implement opportunities to reduce waste and improve efficiency (Lean / Six Sigma).

Support the training and development of production staff in new methods and equipment.

About You
Degree or HND in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).

Proven experience in a manufacturing engineering role, ideally within electromechanical or precision assembly environments.

Strong understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.

Hands-on experience with process validation, PFMEA, and production documentation.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Ability to lead projects and influence across multidisciplinary teams
