Sociology teacher

Location: Tunbridge wells

Start date: Flexible

Pay rate: £130 - £200 per day (dependant on role)

Contract: temporary with opportunity to become permanent

At term time teachers we are seeking a sociology teacher for an excellent school in Tunbridge Wells. The ideal candidate will be someone who is experienced, committed and is able to teach up to KS5, with a proven history off success. You will contribute actively to the wider school community, collaborating with colleagues to develop fresh ideas, share best practices, and promote a positive, inclusive learning environment. A passion for sociology alongside excellent classroom management and strong communication skills, are essential.

Key requirements:

Have experience teaching sociology to students up to KS5.
Hold a QTS.
Have an enhanced DBS on the update system (or willing to apply for one).
Strong subject knowledge of the sociology curriculum.
Hold the right to work in the UK.

Your responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging lessons up to key stage 5
Prepare students for exams, whilst assessing and monitoring progress
Create a positive learning environment
Keep up to date with subject knowledgeWhat We Offer:
