Consultant Ecologist

Location: Chelmsford, Essex (REMOTE POSITION)
Salary: £27,000 – £40,000

Pebble Recruitment is working with a leading Ecological Consultancy seeking an Ecologist or Senior Ecologist + to join their growing team around Chelmsford, Essex / surrounding areas. This consultancy is seeking Ecologists of all levels to join a new, exciting company with a Director who has a superb track record in growing companies. Our client is known for delivering high-quality, sustainable solutions while supporting both clients around the Chelmsford and surrounding areas, as well as a real focus on employee well-being. You’ll work closely with the ecology team on a range of projects, including protected species surveys, PEAs, and BNG assessments.

The Ecologist Role

*

Undertake protected species surveys

*

Prepare tenders and fee proposals

*

Produce technical reports (PEA, BNG, protected species)

*

Manage small to medium projects (with support on larger ones)

Ecologist Requirements

*

3–8 years’ industry experience

*

Degree in Ecology, Environmental Management, or similar

*

At least one protected species licence (preferred)

*

Full UK driving licence

*

Strong knowledge of UK wildlife legislation

*

CIEEM membership (advantageous)
