An established company on the outskirts of Ipswich are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Sales Ledger professional to join its finance team.
Reporting to the Management Accountant, this role plays a vital part in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting cash flow, and ensuring excellent service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Raise sales invoices and credit notes accurately and promptly
Allocate customer payments and ensure account records remain clear and up to date
Resolve customer queries efficiently and professionally
Manage credit control and debt recovery processes
Conduct credit checks and onboard new customers into the finance system
Send customer statements and overdue payment reminders
Reconcile the sales ledger to the general ledger monthly
Maintain funding software and customer database accuracy
Support wider finance tasks as neededWhat We’re Looking For:
Prior experience in a sales ledger or similar finance role
Strong numeracy and excellent attention to detail
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
Motivated, organised and able to work independently
A professional and positive approach with a willingness to learn
