About The Role
Responsibilities:
As a Deputy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in assisting the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the service. You will provide leadership and guidance to staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and promoting best practices in care delivery.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the Registered Manager in delivering person-centred services.
Monitoring health and safety for service users and staff.
Supervising and mentoring support workers, including recruitment, induction, and performance management.
Ensuring compliance with CQC standards and safeguarding procedures.
Managing rotas, staffing levels, and contributing to budget oversight.
Promoting service user involvement and choice in their care.
Acting as a positive role model and providing leadership in the absence of the Registered Manager.Key Requirements
Essential:
NVQ Level 3 in Social Care (or equivalent).
Knowledge of CQC standards, safeguarding, DOLS, and health & safety regulations.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel).
Excellent communication and planning abilities.
Flexible approach to working hours, including participation in on-call rota.
Ability to live within reasonable distance for out-of-hours support.Desirable:
NVQ Level 5 in Social Care.
Experience in managing budgets and complex rostering.Personal Qualities
