Buyer - Civil Engineering

I am supporting a Tier One contractor delivering a major long term nuclear civils programme in Cumbria. The project includes complex civil engineering, reinforced concrete structures, earthworks and multi discipline interfaces.

We are looking for a Buyer who can support procurement activity across a wide range of construction materials, subcontract packages and specialist suppliers. This is an excellent opportunity to develop within a high performing commercial and delivery environment.

Role overview
* Manage procurement activities across multiple work streams
* Source materials and services aligned to project requirements
* Support purchasing, tendering and supplier negotiation
* Maintain compliance with procurement governance standards
* Work with commercial, engineering and logistics teams
* Monitor supplier performance and cost control

What we are looking for
* Procurement experience within civil engineering or construction
* Strong commercial understanding and negotiation skills
* Ability to manage multiple suppliers across a complex delivery environment
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail

Due to the nature of the programme, you must be able to obtain SC clearance.

Package
Salary £40,000 to £45000 plus car allowance £5,060.
