Job Title: English Tutor - Prison Education
Location: Sittingbourne, Kent

About the Role:
Through Academics is seeking a dedicated and passionate English Tutor to deliver high-quality education in a prison setting. This role offers the chance to make a real difference by helping learners develop their reading, writing, and communication skills while supporting their personal growth and rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging English lessons tailored to learners' needs.

Assess progress and provide constructive feedback.

Support learners in achieving qualifications and personal development goals.

Maintain accurate records and adhere to safeguarding policies.

Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.

Person Specification:

Relevant qualifications in English or Education (e.g., PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent).

Experience teaching English, ideally in a prison or challenging educational setting.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Patience, resilience, and the ability to motivate learners.

Willingness to undergo enhanced DBS clearance
