Salary: £38,000-£55,000per annum dependant upon experience
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Mon-Thurs: 8:30-16:30, Fri: 8:30-14:00)

Our client, a leading player in the UK gas industry, is seeking a talented EC&I Design Engineer with an electrical bias to join their growing engineering team.

What You'll Do
Produce high-quality electrical and instrumentation designs across LV, ELV, and hazardous areas (ATEX/IEC 60079)
Interpret and develop detailed drawings, schematics, and design documentation
Carry out design calculations using tools such as AMTECH and Dialux
Occasionally attend local sites for surveys and kick-off meetings
Mentor junior EC&I engineers (for senior candidates)
Collaborate with other engineers and contribute to HAZOPs and design reviews
What Our Client Is Looking For
Essential:
18th Edition (BS7671) qualification
At least 3 years' experience in electrical or EC&I design
Experience with hazardous area design (COMPEX 8-12 preferred)
Proficiency with AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar software
Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
Desirable:
Knowledge of G17/G35 and IEC 60079 standards
Gas sector experience
Commissioning or inspection background
Professional registration (IEng/CEng) or working towards it
