Primary Teacher - Year 6

Academics in Canterbury are seeking a dedicated and inspirational Year 6 Teacher to join a vibrant and nurturing primary school. This is a fantastic full-time opportunity to work in the final year of Key Stage 2, getting the pupils ready for secondary school and SATs.

Key Responsibilities:

To plan and deliver engaging lessons for KS2 with a focus on Year 6 objectives in line with the National Curriculum.
Help pupils prepare for SATs.
Create a supportive classroom environment that encourages independence.
Work closely with colleagues and supporting staff across the school to plan work and assessments.
Engage with parents / guardians / carers through meetings, reports and communications to support pupil learning and development.
Uphold the schools values not just in the classroom, but throughout the school.What we are looking for:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 2
Experience preparing pupils for end-of-Key Stage 2 assessments (SATs) is highly desirable
Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate pupils
Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding practices and a commitment to the welfare and wellbeing of children
