Electronics Engineer – Production Engineering

We’re recruiting for an Electronics Engineer role based in Cambridge (Waterbeach). This is an opportunity to join a highly innovative technology business developing advanced electronic products used in demanding, real-world environments.

As part of a newly created Production Engineering team, you’ll play a key role in transitioning products from R&D into scalable manufacturing. The position focuses on ensuring electronic designs are production-ready, supporting test development, and driving improvements across manufacturing processes.

Key skills required:

Previous experience in electronics production or manufacturing engineering

Strong understanding of PCB assembly, electronic integration, and test methods

Experience developing production test solutions (fixtures, jigs, or automated test equipment)

Ability to troubleshoot electronic faults at board and system level

Experience supporting product transfer from development to manufacturing (NPI)

Familiarity with DFM/DFT principles and quality standards (e.g. ISO9001, IPC)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement

Comfortable working cross-functionally with engineering, production, and suppliers
