Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced and reliable Cook / Relief Cook to join the team on a temporary ongoing/shift basis. This role will cover care services across the Manchester area.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

*

Prepare and cook nutritious meals and snacks in line with dietary requirements, allergies, and individual support plans.

*

Plan menus that promote variety, nutrition, and service user choice.

*

Ensure all food is prepared, cooked, and served to high standards of hygiene and presentation.

*

Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, following all health and safety and food hygiene regulations (including HACCP and COSHH).

*

Monitor stock levels, order supplies as needed, and minimise food waste.

*

Carry out temperature checks and record keeping as required.

*

Work collaboratively with support staff to promote independence and involvement in mealtime activities where appropriate.

Requirements

*

Previous cooking experience in a care, residential, or supported living environment

*

Food Hygiene Level 2 (minimum) – Level 3 desirable.

*

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

*

Ability to travel between sites if needed.
