Production Team Leader

Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 | Hours: 40 hours per week (Primary shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM) | Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

Are you a results-driven leader with essential casting experience? We are seeking a hands-on Production Team Leader to manage a critical section of our manufacturing operation in Wolverhampton. This role is split 50/50 between direct production work and team leadership, ensuring targets for Safety, Quality, Quantity, and Cost are consistently met.

Your Responsibilities

Team Leadership: Provide direct support, direction, and motivation to operatives to achieve daily production targets and deadlines.

Operational Control: Ensure on-time production starts, adherence to KPIs, and effective resource management for maximum efficiency.

Standards & Problem Solving: Maintain strict Health, Safety, and Quality standards. Take immediate corrective action on equipment issues and communicate performance metrics via pre-shift briefings.

What You Must Bring

Experience: Proven leadership track record in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.

Industry Expertise: Essential Casting experience is required.

Skills: Strong people management, excellent communication, organizational skills, and a confident, results-driven mindset.

Mindset: Ability to accept responsibility and make informed, swift decisions.

Desirable: Experience with Ceramics Manufacturing, Lean methodologies, or relevant qualifications (e.g., IOSH Managing Safely).
