How It Works
Year 1: Cover Supervisor with Training Support
September 2026 – August 2027
Begin your journey as a paid Cover Supervisor, gaining valuable classroom experience while participating in intensive teacher training.
What you'll do:
Supervise classes and support student learning
Observe experienced teachers in action
Attend regular training sessions on lesson planning, behaviour management, assessment, and safeguarding
Receive dedicated mentorship and coaching
Build confidence and develop your teaching practice
What you'll earn:
£22,000 – £26,000 (depending on qualifications and experience)
Pension scheme
School holiday entitlement
Year 2: Teacher Training to QTS
September 2027 – July 2028
Progress into formal teacher training while continuing to receive salary support. Complete your training and qualify as a teacher.
What you'll achieve:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) by July 2028
Continued professional development
Permanent teaching position within our trust
Launch your long-term teaching career
Academic Requirements
To progress onto teacher training in Year 2, you'll need:
Essential:
A UK undergraduate degree (or equivalent qualification)
GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Mathematics
Additional Support:
If you need to improve your English or Maths qualifications, equivalency tests are available
Subject Knowledge Enhancement (SKE) courses can be arranged if needed to strengthen your subject expertise
We'll support you throughout Year 1 to ensure you meet all requirements for teacher training.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
