Are you passionate about helping children thrive both academically and personally? We have a fantastic opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and inclusive two-form entry primary school in the heart of Islington.
Starting ASAP, you’ll become an integral part of a diverse and welcoming school community that places inclusion at the very heart of everything it does. The school is a safe, joyful space where children are supported to become confident, successful learners, ready to face the world with curiosity and resilience.
Key responsibilities
• Support the class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities
• Work with small groups on targeted booster and intervention work, focusing on children with mild learning difficulties and some SEN needs
• Lead tailored learning sessions, helping pupils gain confidence and make progress in core subjects
• Build strong relationships with pupils and help foster a positive learning environment
What we’re looking for
• Experience working in a Key Stage 2 setting
• Understanding of how to support children with mild SEN needs
• Confidence leading small group interventions
• A proactive, nurturing and adaptable approach
• A belief in the power of education to change lives
