The Role
We are looking for an experienced Commercial Catering Equipment Engineer to join our growing team. The role involves carrying out both reactive repairs and planned preventative maintenance on a wide range of gas and electric commercial catering equipment across the North East of England.
This is a hands-on role where you will be diagnosing faults, repairing equipment, and ensuring downtime is kept to a minimum. You will also play a key part in ensuring compliance, safety, and excellent service delivery to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
*
Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs on a variety of gas and electric catering equipment
*
Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to minimise breakdowns and extend equipment life
*
Identify and source replacement parts where required
*
Ensure all work complies with health & safety and industry standards
*
Provide technical advice and training to end-users on correct and safe equipment use
*
Deliver a high standard of customer service while working independently and as part of a team
Experience & Skills Required
*
Proven experience in the service, repair, and maintenance of commercial catering equipment
*
Gas Safe qualifications: COMCAT 1, 3, and 5 are essential (LPG desirable – training can be provided)
*
Good knowledge of both gas and electrical systems
*
Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills with the ability to work under pressure
*
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*
Full UK driving licence
