The starting salary for this role is £30,647 per annum based on a 36 hour working week.

We are excited to be hiring a new Senior Team Administrator to be part of our Business Support Team within the Surrey Safeguarding Children Partnership (SSCP) on a permanent basis. The position will be based at our Woodhatch Place office in Reigate, but you may be required to travel to other offices within the county for meetings or events.

This role is open to hybrid working, meaning you will be required to work in the office a minimum of two days per week, to support with meetings and collaborate with colleagues with the remainder of the week worked from home. Please note however that office days will vary week by week dependent on requirements and schedules so candidates must be flexible.

The Surrey Safeguarding Children Partnership (SSCP) works together to provide robust safeguarding governance and dynamic strategic leadership which drives practice improvement. Our team supports the effective running of the Surrey Safeguarding Children Partnership and its Sub-Groups. As a Senior Team Administrator in the SSCP Development Team you will play a key role in the provision of high quality and responsive support to the Partnership.

About the Role

You will organise multiagency meetings on behalf of the Partnership, liaising with professionals from a wide range of agencies across Surrey. You will also keep track of information by updating and maintaining spreadsheets and produce high quality and accurate minutes and reports; subsequently distributing these to involved parties, ensuring timescales are met.

The successful candidate will need to be highly organised, willing to take responsibility, able to use their initiative and be comfortable setting your own priorities to meet deadlines. You will also be required to assist with other partnership projects as required.

Excellent interpersonal skills are essential along with a high level of written and oral communication skills. You will have experience of working with highly confidential, sensitive information and be used to working under pressure and to tight deadlines.

Prior administration experience in a busy office environment.
Ability to work as part of a team within existing protocols and procedures whilst being proactive and using your initiative within the scope of the role.
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Experience in minuting complex meetings, typing directly onto a laptop.
Excellent IT skills and proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint).
Ability to take a confident, organised, and proactive approach to your work.
Experience of mentoring junior members of a team

The job advert closes at 23:59 on the 16th November 2025 with interviews planned to follow via Teams.

The interview will include a number of competency questions followed by a note taking test and should last approximately 60 minutes.

A basic DBS 'Disclosure and Barring Service' check for regulated activity (formerly known as CRB) will be required for this role.
